EQUITY research analyst

The Equities Research Analyst will screen stock names with strong EquityAlpha signal by assimilating information and providing investment advises to clients. The scope will generally include attending company meetings, conducting field research, forecasting profits & cash flow, valuing businesses, compose investment research reports.

Principal Responsibilities

- Model corporate financial statements into the future to assess potential company earnings and/or cash flow.
- Evaluate corporate financial statement outputs to assess the worth of the company using multiple techniques such as discounted cash flow analysis, price-to-earnings ratio and price-to-cash flow ratios.
- Participate in conference calls to review companies' quarterly earnings and quickly assimilates the information to assist the Analysts in their investment decisions.
- Handle various projects such as managing stock watch lists for possible buy/sell calls, and quantitative screening of companies which in turn provides information to lead analysts.

Personal Attributes / Skills / Qualifications

- Academic excellence.
- Strong and demonstrable financial analysis including accounting & financial modelling skills.
- Strong interest and knowledge of financial markets, especially equities.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills and a good writer.


- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
- Professional investment experience or professional experience of giving investment advises
- At least 5 years of relevant experience (buy-side, sell-side, M&A banking, private equity)
- CFA qualification
- Competitive nature
- Experience with market data services (eg. Factset, Refinitiv, Bloomberg etc.)

JUNIOR AI engineers

What is special at Deepmind Capital is that it employs AI engine to provide EquityAlpha signal by processing multi-terabytes of structured (financial) and unstructured (non-financial) data.

Principal Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the data science and engineering teams to understand the business objectives and requirements for AI model fine-tuning.
- Fine-tune pre-existing AI models using various techniques such as transfer learning, hyperparameter optimization, and data augmentation.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the performance and accuracy of AI models through iterative experimentation and evaluation. Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues that may affect model performance.
- Design and implement data preprocessing and feature engineering techniques to optimize data quality and model training.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fine-tuned models into production systems or applications.
- Monitor and evaluate model performance in production, identify areas for improvement, and propose enhancements or refinements.


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including deep learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience in fine-tuning pre-existing AI models and working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of data preprocessing techniques, feature engineering, and model evaluation metrics.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed computing frameworks for scalable model training.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex datasets.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. - Experience with version control systems and software engineering best practices.
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision (CV) is a plus.
